Optional Summative Point Final Project Info
Since many of you have asked, you will have the option of doing a final summative project for our class that can help your grade. Again, you do NOT have to do it, but anyone looking to improve their grade can do it, including graduated seniors. I thought that this is fair since we have only really had two tests in the gradebook before we were done and this will help some of you who struggled on those.
Here are the details:
Here are some ideas for what you can do. Again, this list is in no way comprehensive, but I thought I’d give it to you to give you ideas. Email me with any questions.

Since many of you have asked, you will have the option of doing a final summative project for our class that can help your grade. Again, you do NOT have to do it, but anyone looking to improve their grade can do it, including graduated seniors. Here are the details:
- Due on Wednesday, 5/20 before midnight. Email me your work at [email protected]. If for some reason this due date is problematic for you but you still want to do the project, please email me as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
- 40 summative points based on:
- 20 points- aesthetics. Does it look good? Is it interesting? Are there obvious spelling/punctuation errors? Does it have a list of sources?
- 20 points- content. Is the content accurate and relevant to our case studies? Is the topic thoroughly explained? Is there missing information?
- Can be ANY format; powerpoint, video, prezi, you name it. I’m pretty open to new things as long as you can do a good job of conveying the information.
- Can be ANY topic related to our case studies. Again, I am very open to ideas but I do expect these projects to be thorough examinations of the events, people, or history of our case studies.
- You will have a list of sources; they do not need to be in any format
- I do not count # of slides, etc. because it is all relative. You will want to be sure to thoroughly cover your topic and be sure to use your own words. I imagine that to do this would be at least more than 10 slides. DO NOT COPY INFORMATION WORD FOR WORD from other sources. Just put it in your own words or simplify it for me.
- Be sure to keep it interesting. Come on guys, I’m at home with little kids and even my gaming is getting old. Make sure to include pictures, feel free to include a video that is of good quality. If you turn in a presentation with just bullet points, don’t count on your grade going up. You need to simulate as if you were going to actually present these. You wouldn’t want to bore the class, don’t bore Mrs. Wilton. It would be cool, but not necessary, if you teach me something new.
